Alaska probe finds Palin abused her power

ANCHORAGE, Alaska (Reuters) - An Alaska ethics inquiry found that Gov. Sarah Palin, the U.S. Republican vice presidential candidate, abused the power of her office by dismissing the state's public safety commissioner, a report released on Friday said.

The investigation centred on whether the firing of the state's public safety commissioner was linked to Palin's personal feud with a state trooper who was involved in a contentious divorce with the governor's sister.
