MEXICO CITY (Reuters) - A government investigation found no evidence of wrongdoing by President Enrique Pena Nieto or Finance Minister Luis Videgaray in a scandal surrounding homes they purchased from government contractors, a senior official said on Friday.
Virgilio Andrade, head of the Public Administration Ministry, said the investigation showed that neither Pena Nieto or Videgaray had gained any benefits or tried to influence officials responsible for awarding contracts to companies that had sold homes to the president, his wife and Videgaray.
