MADRID (Reuters) - Spain's ruling People's Party would win a general election with 28.2 percent of the vote if it was held today, extending an earlier poll lead of 25.6 percent, a closely-watched official survey showed on Wednesday.
The Socialist Party would come second with 24.9 percent, compared to 24.3 percent in April, while support for newcomer parties Podemos and Ciudadanos is seen falling slightly to 15.7 percent and 11.1 percent respectively.
The poll was based on 2,500 interviews made across Spain between July 1 and 9.
