DAKAR (Reuters) - Chad should receive some $1.1 billion (717.83 million pounds) in debt relief after reaching the completion point of the Highly Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) initiative for the World Bank and International Monetary Fund, the finance minister said.
Kordje Bedoumra told Reuters that growth in the petroleum exporting central African nation was expected to slow this year to around 5 percent, from 7 percent in 2014, due to the impact of a slump in international oil prices.
