Exit poll shows Berlusconi winning Italy election

ROME (Reuters) - An exit poll put Silvio Berlusconi on course to win Italy's election on Monday with a 2 percentage-point lead over the centre left's Walter Veltroni in the lower house of parliament and 3 points in the Senate.

If the outcome of the poll for Sky TV is confirmed, with aSenate lead big enough to secure a majority, the 71-year-oldcentre-right leader will become prime minister for the thirdtime. A second poll for state TV also put Berlusconi ahead inboth chambers.
