KANDAHAR, Afghanistan (Reuters) - A suicide bomber in a car killed the governor of Panjwai district in southern Kandahar province Thursday, Afghan officials said.
The governor was travelling with his two sons, who were also killed by the blast, Kandahar police chief Abdul Raziq told reporters. An official at the Kandahar central hospital said 13 wounded policemen had also been brought for treatment.
