Germany's de Maziere chosen as defence minister-sources

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany's coalition government has chosen Interior Minister Thomas de Maiziere to replace Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg as defence minister, government sources said on Wednesday.

The appointment is part of a reshuffle that will also see Hans-Peter Friedrich become interior minister, Christian Social Union (CSU) party sources said.

De Maziere is a member of Chancellor Angela Merkel's CDU Christian Democrats.

Friedrich heads the CSU's parliamentary grouping.
