HARARE (Reuters) - Zimbabwean Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai returned home Monday after receiving medical treatment in Botswana for injuries in a car crash that killed his wife, a Reuters witness said.
His MDC have said the party will conduct its own probe into the accident to see whether foul play was involved. The tragedy comes at a difficult time for Tsvangirai, who faces the daunting task of rescuing the ruined country under a new unity government with President Robert Mugabe.
