Thirteen killed in Baghdad suicide bomb attack - sources

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - At least 13 civilians were killed in a suicide bombing on Monday morning at a security checkpoint in western Baghdad's Shi'ite neighbourhood of Kadhamiya, police and medical sources said.

The capital has seen a string of deadly attacks in the last two weeks. Despite the violence, the government lifted a longstanding night-time curfew on Saturday night aimed at normalising life in the war-torn city.
