CONAKRY (Reuters) - The military junta attempting a coup in Guinea promised on Wednesday to hold elections in December, 2010, junta-controlled national radio said.
"The National Council for Democracy and Development commits to organise credible and transparent elections for the end of December 2010," said the radio, citing a statement from the military officers who on Tuesday announced the suspension of the constitution and the government in the West African state.
