Ghanaians start voting in poll for new president

ACCRA (Reuters) - Ghanaians began voting on Sunday in polls to elect a new president in a tight race between two foreign-educated lawyers competing to lead the West African nation as it prepares to cash in on offshore oil reserves.

Voters started casting their ballots in different parts of the capital Accra shortly after the vote was due to start at 0700 GMT. Some voters had been queuing since the early hours to vote.
