Parasoft Corporation, the leading provider of Automated Error
Prevention solutions for software development, today announced its
participation in the upcoming Trolltech Developer Days in Munich,
Germany, October 11-12, 2006. The event will be held at the Hilton
Munich Park hotel.
On Thursday, October 12th, Leszek Slonczynski, professional
services director of Parasoft Europe, will present "How to Use
Automated Coding Standards and Unit Testing to Streamline the Software
Development Lifecycle." This presentation can be seen Thursday at 5:45
p.m. in the Picasso Ballroom. Mr. Slonczynski will also present
"Strategies for Embedded Testing." This presentation can be seen
Thursday, October 12 at 7 p.m. in Ballroom A.
Automated coding standards and unit testing to streamline the
software development lifecycle will be discussed in Mr. Slonczynski's
first session. Trolltech Qt and Qtopia developers will learn how
applying coding standards and unit testing will improve their code and
prevent a number of problems that they otherwise would need to
identify, diagnose, and fix over the course of a project. Developers
will also learn how to apply general and Qt-specific coding standards
to prevent problems related to code functionality, security,
maintainability, and performance.
The consumer market is very challenging, and a company's success
hinges upon its ability to produce a consumer product and introduce it
to the market as rapidly as possible. To accomplish this,
organizations must build hardware and software simultaneously.
However, the software is often completed before the hardware. The
presentation on strategies for embedded testing will discuss how this
problem can be addressed by preparing test suites that test the
software independently of the hardware, and then run the software on
the hardware prototype as soon as it is available.
Leszek Slonczynski is the Director of Professional Services for
Parasoft Europe. Slonczynski works directly with European companies to
help them improve their development processes through automating and
monitoring quality improvement. He also guides the Professional
Services team in satisfying the needs of Parasoft's customers
worldwide. Slonczynski has been a member of the Professional Services
team for over 7 years, and has 8 years of experience in developing
large software systems in C, C++ and .NET.
