BIO-Europe 2006 (November 6-8, 2006 in Duesseldorf, Germany)
facilitates partnerships for biotech businesses with other biotech and
pharmaceutical companies, the finance, and the research community. To
do this, the conference draws in a global pool of delegates from
Europe, North America, and Asia/Pacific.
As such the conference will be a top source of industry news,
where the media can schedule meetings with delegates, and network
comfortably around the venue. At this point in time, BIO-Europe kindly
requests all journalists to mark their calendars with the event.
BIO-Europe, and its new sister conference BIO-Europe Spring, has a
dedicated press office to disseminate news, stories, and conference
themes directly to journalists in advance of the conference and as
they develop and evolve at the conference. This year there will be
more media briefings and opportunities for one-on-one meetings.
There will be the opportunity to meet local Duesseldorf and German
companies and their CEOs; sessions on financings, updates on clinical
results; the latest in dealmaking and M&A strategies; and the
opportunity to hear about the latest technologies in development to
treat disease. It will be possible to arrange one-on-one interviews
with specific delegates in advance of the conference, and more
detailed information will be coming in the near future.
At last year's BIO-Europe in Dresden, Germany, the number of
delegates topped 1450, from more than 850 companies, representing 34
countries. There were 167 biotech company presentations, a host of
international exhibitors, and 5124 scheduled one-on-one partnering
meetings.
BIO-Europe 2006 is co-hosted by the Biotechnology Industry
Organization (BIO) and EBD Group in partnership with European
Biopharmaceutical Enterprises (EBE).
