Metracom and DataPath® Partner to Market MaxView® Network Management System in Europe

DataPath, Inc., a leading provider of satellite and wireless communications networks around the world, has formed a strategic partnership with French company Metracom to provide sales and integration support for the MaxView® Network Management System in Europe. Metracom specializes in engineering and system integration, technical assistance, training and consulting services in support of satellite communications. The companies are targeting sales of the MaxView software product line to the European government, broadcast and satellite operator market segments. DataPath® and Metracom will be represented at IBC2008 in Amsterdam, Sept. 12–16, 2008, at stand 1:A39.

MaxView is a powerful solution used by more than 150 government and military organizations, leading broadcasters, satellite operators and media providers around the world. MaxView easily adapts to evolving networks, functioning as the network "operating environment," the network manager–of–managers, or an element control–and–automation system. Designed by network engineers for network engineers, MaxView´s intuitive Service Creation Framework enables it to be operated without any software development experience.

"Metracom has successfully fielded DataPath´s MaxView software for a number of commercial and government customers in France and around the world," said Steve Lindeman, vice president of Business Operations for DataPath. "They are a proven integration partner that has the staff and training to design, install and support MaxView products for even the most complex deployments. Metracom provides exceptional support and service to customers, giving DataPath greater reach in the European market."

"Metracom has been successfully reselling MaxView products in France and Africa for about 10 years," said Henri Wuthrich, director of Sales and Marketing for Metracom. "MaxView enables our customers to remotely monitor and control teleports, VSAT networks and TV head–ends. This strengthened partnership with DataPath supports our plan to extend our MaxView integration and support services throughout Europe."
