Four Pace Experts to Speak At IBC Conference

Four leading experts from Pace plc (LSE:PIC), the leading developer of digital TV technologies, will be speaking at the IBC 2008 conference in Amsterdam. A wide range of industry topics will be under discussion, including:

  • new content distribution models that are changing the way people consume content
  • the merging worlds of broadband and broadcast technologies and how these will impact on operator service offerings
  • how a combination of innovative product design and the right approach to business can significantly reduce our impact on the environment.

SESSIONS IN DETAIL

Ian Turner, Technology Theme Architect at Pace, will be presenting a paper on the technical issues of using peer to peer techniques to enable viable video download services for operators in the IPTV and the networked home´ panel on Thursday 11 September, 2.00pm to 3.45pm.

Simon Forrest, Chief Technologist at Pace will be chairing the Content over the Web´ panel on Thursday 11 September, 2.00pm to 3.30pm. The panel will look at real examples of content being delivered over the web, discussing how far we have come and how far we still have to go in delivering real services to the disparate and growing multiplicity of connected platforms.

Javad Khangosstar, Knowledge Transfer Partnership Associate at Pace will be expanding on Pace´s IPTV expertise and focusing on connecting IP devices in the home on the IPTV and the networked home´ panel session on Thursday 11 September, 4.00pm to 5.30pm.

Lowering the environmental impact from products in their manufacture and usage will be the topic under discussion by Robert Turner, Pace´s Energy Efficiency expert in the session The environmental impact of our industry, and what we can do about it´ on Monday 15 September from 2.00pm to 3.45pm.
