PSE Move to New London HQ Signifies Aggressive Business Expansion

Process Systems Enterprise (PSE), providers of the world–leading gPROMS advanced process modelling (APM) software and related services and winner of the prestigious Royal Academy of Engineering´s 2007 MacRobert Award for Engineering Innovation, today announced its move to a significantly expanded new head office in Hammersmith, London.

gPROMS software and related services are used to accelerate innovation by process and technology companies around the world, such as BP, Shell, BASF, United Technologies, Toyota, Samsung and many other Fortune 500 companies.

The move comes as part of the company´s aggressive expansion plans, which will see its revenues and size double over the current two year period. Strong demand for the company´s products and services in the refining, chemical, petrochemical and future energy sectors have already resulted in a 60% increase in revenue in the financial year just ended.

The expansion of the London office is one part of PSE´s international growth programme underpinned by recent venture capital growth funding. It follows the establishment of a PSE Korea office earlier this year, which provides software and consulting services to the company´s rapidly expanding Korean customer base of petrochemical and electronics companies.

The Hammersmith global headquarters houses the majority of PSE´s consulting, development and support staff, and provides head office services to sales and consulting operations in the US, Germany, Korea, Japan and India. Some 70% of PSE´s revenue comes from outside the UK, making the company one of the UK´s recent high–tech success stories.

The move to the new bigger Hammersmith premises more than doubles the floor space available, enabling an expansion of PSE´s high–value consulting services and accelerated software product development aimed at keeping gPROMS at the forefront of process modelling technology.

PSE Chief Operating Officer Mark Matzopoulos says "We have just launched a world–beating product in the second–generation gPROMS. This will define the state–of–the–art for a decade or more in high–accuracy predictive modelling, providing essential capabilities for process companies who are serious about innovating rapidly and managing the associated risk."

"The major interest in the benefits of this new technology globally means that now is the right time to continue expanding our business for the benefit of customers, both current and new."
