Dilithium, the leading supplier of converged video solutions, announced today that NMS Communications has licensed the Dilithium patents in H.324 Annex K Media Oriented Negotiation Acceleration (MONA). This marks the 15th licensing of the Dilithium intellectual property rights in MONA to a 3G video equipment supplier. Other licensees include industry leading handset, chipset and platform vendors in the WCDMA and TD–SCDMA markets.
"H.324 Annex K (aka MONA) is the only standardized technology that achieves video session setup times close to one second, similar to voice calls. This is very important for the customer experience in video calling and video value added services," said Dr. Marwan Jabri, Founder and CTO, Dilithium Networks. Dilithium MONA patents cover the fundamental operations of MONA and are being licensed on a fair, reasonable and non–discriminatory basis.
