SES GLOBAL (Paris:SESG) (LuxX:SESG) announced today that
Dan Goldberg, President and Chief Executive Officer of SES NEW SKIES,
is leaving the company to pursue another professional opportunity.
Andrew M. Browne, the CFO of SES NEW SKIES, will serve as acting CEO
until a successor to Mr. Goldberg will be appointed. Mr. Goldberg's
departure will be effective as of September 15, 2006.
Romain Bausch, President and CEO of SES GLOBAL, said: "SES would
like to thank Dan for his valuable contribution to the integration of
NEW SKIES into the SES Group over the last six months since the
closure of the acquisition. We are on course to establish SES NEW
SKIES as SES' third pillar infrastructure business by the end of this
year and we are confident that SES NEW SKIES' world class team of
professionals, combined with the deep resources of SES GLOBAL and the
addition of the NSS-8 and NSS-9 satellites, will continue to achieve
strong financial and operational performance for the foreseeable
future."
Dan Goldberg, the CEO of SES NEW SKIES, said: "It has been a great
privilege for me to have assisted in the foundation of New Skies and
to serve as its CEO over roughly the last five years and, more
recently, as a member of the SES GLOBAL Executive Committee. I leave
SES NEW SKIES in the midst of another year of strong revenue and
EBITDA growth and at a time when the integration of its activities
into those of the other SES Group companies is well in hand."
