company, will support The 2006 Ryder Cup for the first time in Europe.
Unisys real-time sports scoring technology will underpin the
collection, collation and distribution of all scoring information at
the event, staged at The K Club in Straffan, Ireland, September 22-24,
2006.
Throughout the three day contest, Unisys will provide global
audiences access to the latest scores, live from the course, by
delivering results to broadcasters including NBC and Sky, as well as
pushing data to www.rydercup.com. A wireless network, hand-held
computer devices and more than 115 scoring terminals throughout the
course will ensure golf fans can experience and keep up to date with
the action from the flagship event.
