Petroplus Announces Utilization of Its Flare System as a Safety Pre?Caution at Its Coryton Refinery

Petroplus Holdings AG (SWX: PPHN) announced today that its Coryton refinery utilized its flare system as a safety pre–caution in connection with a power disruption on Friday evening. There was no fire. There was no damage to refinery units. There were no injuries or offsite environmental impacts. As a pre–caution, the refinery was safely shutdown. The refinery is currently being brought back online and we do not expect significant loss of production.

The refineries have a combined throughput capacity of approximately 864,000 bpd.
