Aéroports de Paris (Paris:ADP) (Pink Sheets:AEOPF) expects to receive 900,000* passengers during the first weekend of summer holiday travel at Paris–Orly and Paris–Charles de Gaulle (June 27 to 30 inclusive). In all, some 17 million** passengers use the Paris airports in the summer.
"In the summer, 43%*** of our passengers take their first flight of the year. This makes the summer season particularly important for Aéroports de Paris and all our staff will be ready. This summer over a hundred additional employees will be present on the ground, and on peak days, 50 "Orange Vests" will help them receive the passengers", declared François Rubichon, Aéroports de Paris Deputy CEO.
In addition to increasing the reception operation, Aéroports de Paris and the Boutiques Aéroports de Paris concessionaires are launching the new program of the Ecole des Vacances holiday school from Friday 26 June.
For summer departures, Aéroports de Paris boutiques invite passengers to take advantage of their passage through Paris–Charles de Gaulle and Paris–Orly airports to get a feel for the most popular dance at their destination. Salsa in Havana, Hip–Hop in New York or Sirtaki in Athens, each destination gives the opportunity to discover a new dance.
A real craze, dance courses attract more and more French people. One out of four people interviewed (27% admits to have taken lessons and 40% say they are ready to practice dancing in a sports club****).
The passengers who pass through Paris airports in summer time can learn to dance one of the 15 dances demonstrated by "L´Ecole des Vacances" trainers. Free, the lessons offered in boarding lounges last 10 to 15 minutes."I teach Salsa, Tcha tcha tcha and disco lessons. Fifteen minutes are enough to learn the basic steps. Our dance lessons are fun, and addressed to the whole family. Holidays start at the airport! "says Audrey, dance trainer at Paris–Charles de Gaulle airport
The dance floors of L´Ecole des Vacances designed by Aéroports de Paris boutiques are real dance studios. A large mirror allows the learners to reproduce the trainer´s movements. The dance floor is surrounded by a thread curtain. A play of light and the essential disco ball recreate the dance floors ambiance.
In order not to disturb the other travellers, the music and trainer advice are broadcast through a cordless headsets. Passengers can hence dance and sing on a "¦silent floor!
