The IEC brings together key ICT players from around the
world to present cutting-edge information on next-generation networks
and architectures; IEC renames its 21st Century Communications World
Forum expanding the focus of the program to include network
convergence and IMS development and applications
The IEC introduces its C5 Network World Forum: Customer-Centric
Converged Communication and Content, this 26-29 March 2007 at the
Fiera Milano Congressi convention center. Telecom Italia will serve as
the official host sponsor and CTO Stefano Pileri will lead as
conference chairperson.
The C5 Network World Forum, formerly know as the 21st Century
Communications World Forum, will have a strong network focus,
examining architectural issues and lessons learned from trials and
implementation at network convergence. The show will also explore
topics to create the ultimate experience for the end-user.
IEC President John Janowiak commented, "Based on the success of
this event over the last few years, a critical time presents itself to
us to elevate the show by bringing in carriers, providers, enterprise
customers, and all those in charge of different types of convergence.
We are excited to bring together international key players shaping the
future of information communication technology."
The C5 Network World Forum planning meeting took place last month
in Milan as 55 industry leaders came together to discuss innovative
ideas in structuring the show. Members explored both mobile and fixed
IP-based network architectures and technologies that will enable them.
