VoiceObjects, Inc. announced today it has closed a $10.8
million venture capital financing. The funds were provided by existing
investors Telesoft Partners, Wellington Partners, SAP Ventures,
Deutsche Telekom's T-Venture and Enjoyventure. The company also
announced that industry veterans Bonnie Crater and Kendra Borrego have
joined as senior vice president of marketing and chief financial
officer, respectively. These executives join recently appointed
president and chief executive officer Beatriz Infante, formerly
president and chief executive officer of Aspect Communications, on the

The latest financing brings the total amount of venture capital
raised by the company to $35 million. The new funds will be used to
enhance the company's sales and marketing functions in the U.S. and to
continue development of the company's VoiceObjects Server and other
products. The company also announced that the membership of its Board
of Directors has changed and now consists of Arjun Gupta, founder and
managing partner of Telesoft Partners, Beatriz Infante, president and
chief executive officer of VoiceObjects, and Jorg Uberla, general
partner of Wellington Partners.

Veteran Executives to Lead Marketing, Finance
Prior to joining VoiceObjects as senior vice president of
marketing, Bonnie Crater was senior vice president and general manager
for Salesforce.com's service and support business unit. Crater also
held vice president and senior vice president marketing roles at
Genesys, Netscape, Network Computer Inc. and Stratify. A ten-year
veteran of Oracle Corporation and its various subsidiaries, Crater was
vice president, Compaq Products Division and vice president, Workgroup
Products Division. Crater was also president and CEO of Zelerate, a
provider of open source e-commerce solutions. In 2000, Crater was
named one of the "Top 20 Female Executives in Silicon Valley" by San
Jose Magazine. Crater holds a B.A. in biology from Princeton
University.
Prior to joining VoiceObjects as chief financial officer, Kendra
Borrego had a thirteen-year career at IMPAC Medical Systems, Inc.,
where she was most recently chief financial officer and vice
president, finance. At IMPAC, Borrego was responsible for the
strategic development and coordination of finance, accounting,
investor relations, legal affairs, contracts administration, human
resources and purchasing functions. She also led the company's initial
public offering and managed significant sell-side and buy-side
acquisitions. Borrego holds a B.S. in business administration from the
University of Nevada, Reno and an M.B.A. from San Jose State
University.
