entered into a global reseller agreement with Hitachi Data Systems
(HDS). Diligent's complete line of Data Protection solutions including
ProtecTIER(TM) VT with HyperFactor(TM) , VTF Open and VTF Mainframe
are immediately available to HDS' customers worldwide under the name
Virtual Tape Library (VTL) Solutions by Hitachi Data Systems.

ProtecTIER VT - The first true enterprise-class disk-based data
protection solution that enables customers to reduce their required
backup disk storage capacity by up to 25 times or more, while
ingesting backup data in-line at rates greater than 200 MB/s enabling
electronic replication for geographic protection and scaling up to 1
PB of physical disk-storage. Powered by HyperFactor(TM), the industry
leading data de-duplication technology, ProtecTIER enables enterprises
to eliminate redundant data resulting in a large-scale reduction in
the amount and cost of physical storage required, thus rendering
disk-storage economically viable for backup restore and archive.
VTF Open - Industry's most scalable Virtual Tape Library software
that is easy to implement and provides 2:1 compression, reducing
storage needs by half. The software, server and disk storage system
create a virtual tape solution that appears to the backup application
as a real tape library.
VTF Mainframe - A software solution that virtualizes disk as tape
on mainframes, and solves performance, scalability and reliability
problems that others in the industry do not address.
