Agence France?Presse Launches a Complete Offer Designed for Mobile

In June, Agence France–Presse launches a complete and integrated offer dedicated to all mobile players. These services consist of an editorial, publication and integration platform. The new mobile service incorporates multimedia news feeds, SMS and MMS. The innovative platform allows AFP news to be on mobile across all technical specifications (i.e.: Java, Windows Mobile client, etc.).

With its strong experience in the field of the multimedia products (Internet Journal, Flash applications) Agence France–Presse has developed a new range of products for the mobile world. The Mobile Journal offers AFP´s entire news production in text, photographs and videos 24/7. AFP Mobile Journal is a rich multimedia feed covering major news from across the globe in a variety of diverse categories, available now in English and French with Spanish and Arabic languages coming soon. Editorial formats of this Mobile Journal are specifically designed for mobile screens (short headlines, short texts, photographs in several formats) and/or an embedded application. AFP has also created a service of SMS and MMS news alerts to keep users armed with the latest information from around the world as it happens.

The publication platform has been developed in partnership with technology company MOMAC. This platform easily allows AFP content creation, editing and management for distribution to clients.
