Eli Jackson, head of EU Brokerage at Option Rally, while speaking at a private conference with top investors, recently commented on Alibaba’s IPO and the economic indicators in China which raise some ‘red flags.’ Option Rally is a CySEC Licensed Online Securities Broker.
“The Alibaba IPO was a huge success for the Alibaba Partnership and our investors, but I’m fearful of the China Real Estate market and the impact a bubble burst could have on China and the entire global economy”, says Mr. Jackson. Eli went on to explain that China has a huge economic disparity across classes, unchecked corruption, and over-lending to the real estate market. The new development in China has outpaced demand this year and Chinese cities like Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing are more expensive to live in than Hong Kong, Sydney, New York and London.
Mr. Jackson continued, “If you look at the units already built, half are unsold, current projects have depressed sales, and the common denominator is that the pricing is unaffordable for the working class. Classic over development has left new apartments unfinished and there are numerous shopping malls, hotel and office complexes which have been abandoned. Overall construction has slowed down. These are all indications of a possible bubble about to burst. Eventually it will also impact companies like Alibaba.”
When asked by one of his investors how they can profit from his analysis, Eli Jackson further explained, “We understand market events and direction.
