DataViz, Inc., leading provider of Office compatibility
solutions for over 22 years, today announced that RoadSync, its
Exchange ActiveSync client, is now available for S60 3rd Edition
devices, including Nokia's new E-Series and N-Series smartphones.
Based on the Exchange ActiveSync protocol licensed from Microsoft,
RoadSync provides secure, wireless and direct push synchronization
with Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 for a variety of mobile devices.
With the addition of this newly supported platform, DataViz' RoadSync
is now available for five of the most popular mobile platforms: S60
3rd Edition, UIQ, Series 80, Palm OS and Java MIDP 2.0. Support for
Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition is also planned for later this
year.
RoadSync for S60-enabled devices offers full mobile access to
corporate e-mail, calendar and contacts from Exchange Server 2003,
while eliminating the need for middleware servers, recurring service
fees or subscriptions. Additionally, Direct Push technology, Remote
Wipe security and Global Address List are supported when installed in
combination with the Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 Service Pack 2
(SP2), enabling more businesses to deploy a wireless e-mail solution
for their workforce at a fraction of the cost associated with today's
alternatives.
"We are pleased to see DataViz bring their RoadSync solutions to
market for the new E-Series and N-Series smartphones. With
business-critical applications like DataViz' RoadSync, we can expand
our corporate portfolio of mobile applications to include value-added
solutions for customers interested in deploying these powerful new
devices," said J0rn Husted, Managing Director, Dangaard Telecom
Denmark.
"We are excited to continue broadening our offerings to the Nokia
ecosystem by providing owners of these new S60 smartphones access to
our Exchange ActiveSync solution," said Bonnie Boyle, Senior Business
Manager, DataViz. "Given the wide variety of form factors and styles,
it is likely that these S60 devices will make their way into
organizations by both corporate or IT initiatives as well as bottom-up
employee adoption. In either case, we are able to provide business
customers with a cost-effective, scalable push e-mail solution that
can be easily deployed and managed across an entire organization."
