Full-Scale Exploration Commences on the New Dominion Project

Donald W. Flinn, Vice President, Operations for Klondike
Star Mineral Corporation (OTCBB:KDSM) is pleased to report that a
comprehensive exploration program is being launched on the company's
newest major property in the Klondike, Yukon, Canada. The goal is to
consolidate and ground-truth previous exploration results, advance
knowledge of the mineral resources, and identify future drill targets
on a systematic and expedited basis.
At the headwaters of Dominion Creek, the Dominion Project consists
of 224 claims totaling 45 square kilometers. Klondike Star holds 100%
or majority interest in 168 claims and an exclusive option to purchase
56 claims. Since 1999, a portion of the property was explored by KSL
Exploration (Yukon) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Klondike
Source Limited including drilling, soil sampling, and trenching.
Before that, United Keno Hill Mines Limited, longstanding operator of
gold and silver properties, such as the Elsa and Keno Hill mines,
invested significant effort on the other portion of the property.
Klondike Star's total mineral rights holdings in the Klondike have
grown to 350 square kilometers.
"The Dominion Project adds to Klondike Star's strategic
positioning in one of the world's most productive gold producing
areas, the Klondike in Yukon, Canada. We believe there is exceptional
mineral potential in this property", said Hans Boge, President of
Klondike Star Mineral Corporation.
The 2006 summer exploration program will be headed up by a
separate, dedicated team of geologists with previous experience on the
property. The program will include detailed mapping, extensive chip
sampling, assessment of 65 existing trenches, selective bulk sampling
and processing through the Eldorado test milling plant. A satellite
camp is being installed to support project operations.
