Oberon Media, the world´s leading multi–platform casual games company, today announced the promotion of Don Ryan to Chief Operating Officer. Formerly senior vice president, publishing, Ryan will oversee all publishing, development, and platform operations.

Don Ryan was a driving force behind Microsoft´s cross–platform casual–games strategy prior to joining Oberon in 2006. Ryan led the team that designed and implemented the downloadable games service for MSN, the MSN Messenger Games service, and Xbox Live Arcade service for Xbox 360. He is widely credited with bringing casual games to the masses and establishing the strong foothold that those products now have in the entertainment software industry.
