LBC Tank Terminals Announces CEO Brett Simpson?s Departure

LBC Tank Terminals today announced that the group´s chief executive officer, Brett Simpson, has resigned and is leaving LBC Tank Terminals Group. Brett has lived and worked in many different locations around the world but has recently taken the very tough personal decision to relocate his family back to the United Kingdom. For the transition period the business has appointed Iain Coucher as interim CEO to run the company whilst looking for a permanent successor. After helping to bring the interim CEO on board, Brett’s last day with LBC will be Wednesday March 19th.

Brett joined LBC as the Group CEO in 2009. On joining he spearheaded a significant programme of change and transformation to establish LBC as the preferred global provider of bulk liquid storage solutions. Since joining the business, under his stewardship, LBC group has embarked on a significant and focused strategy of consolidation, investment and growth. Brett has made a significant contribution to the business, transforming it from a collection of local facilities to an integrated multinational, and continuing to increase earnings through what has been a challenging business environment.

Iain is an experienced business leader, whose previous interim CEO positions within the infrastructure sector include Network Rail, Tube Lines and Transys. His leadership will ensure business continuity and enable the Board to focus on the appointment of a long-term successor for the next phase of LBC’s development. Further senior management continuity during the period of transition is provided by the Lucas Barry. In order to support Iain during the period of transition, Lucas has agreed to delay, until the end of April, his previously announced plans to leave the business.
