Gliffy, Inc., a leader in diagramming and business graphics application, today announced its intention to support Atlassian Software´s new Atlassian Connect framework for secure, stable, scaled add-ons to Atlassian JIRA and Confluence OnDemand. Gliffy is excited for the potential business opportunities based on Atlassian’s new technology direction and its significance for industry developers.
With Atlassian Connect, leaders like Gliffy can now control, develop and host their own application, while maintaining a tight integration with the host Atlassian application. This important development allows Gliffy to leverage the advanced features it has written for other SaaS services. Gliffy supports the direction provided by Atlassian Connect because it will also help the company iterate more quickly and deploy updates and new features to customers far more frequently.

Atlassian Connect will allow Gliffy to capitalize on other third-party SaaS services, such as Google Charts, to deliver value by developing new features at a faster rate for its users. Gliffy recently developed an initial proof-of-concept of its JIRA plugin, which demonstrates that migrating its existing Atlassian JIRA OnDemand users to Gliffy´s SaaS infrastructure should be a seamless and efficient process. Gliffy looks forward to re-architecting its existing diagramming and charting applications for Atlassian Connect in 2014.
