Canon Communications LLC, the
leading producer of trade events, publications, and electronic media for
the ?2 trillion advanced, technology-based
manufacturing industry, today announced its acquisition of Stamping-Days
a biannual exhibition serving the high precision stamping technology
industry in Germany. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Canon also announced that it will move Stamping-Days from its current
location in Pforzheim to nearby Karlsruhe, and co-locate it with the
company´s InterPart
Surfacts, and MediPart trade fairs from 26-28 May 2009. Only minutes
away from its previous venue, Messe Karlsruhe is strategically
positioned in the heart of the Black Forest region and is served
directly by major autobahns, ICE trains and French TGV train routes.
This new location also removes previous space restrictions on exhibition
size and allows visitors from Germany, Switzerland, and nearby France
easy access to the expanded event.
A major added bonus for Stamping-Days exhibitors and visitors is the
co-location with InterPart"“southern
Germany´s leading high-precision parts
exhibition for the automotive and machine construction industries. Now
visitors to both trade fairs will have complimentary access to 500 of
the leading suppliers for stamping technologies, precision parts, and
sub-contracting services. Exhibitors will enjoy the benefit of meeting
buyers and specifiers from across the entire stamping and precision
metals process chain.
"We are very excited about the addition of
Stamping-Days to the Canon family of advanced manufacturing exhibitions," commented Mark Temple-Smith, Canon´s Event
Director for Europe and Asia. "We are best
known internationally for our ability to consistently deliver quality
visitors to our exhibitors. Canon visitor promotions are intensive and
highly effective in delivering strong, positive results to our
customers. Through the co-location of the premier high technology
stamping exhibition with InterPart, MediPart and Surfacts, Southern
Germany´s leading precision parts and surface
technology event will be a very attractive model to key decision-makers
in the region´s automotive, machine
construction, watch making, electronics and medical device industries."
Stamping-Days founder Urlich Brosz said, "I
developed the Stamping-Days exhibition in 2003 as the regional showcase
of high-technology stamping technology serving the automotive
electronic and allied industries. The exhibition has been a great
success and has now outgrown the Pforzheim venue. Stamping-Days is
ready to expand to the next level, and the co-location with InterPart
MediPart and Surfacts can only make the experience more rewarding for
exhibitors and visitors alike. I am now looking forward to working with
one of the world´s leading exhibition
organisers in the advanced manufacturing sector to grow Stamping-Days
into the leading international event in its new venue."
