LeWeb’13 Paris announces today that its internationally-renowned Start-Up Competition is open for entries until October 31, 2013.
The announcement comes against a background of news that the winner of July’s LeWeb’13 London Start-Up Competition, Pricing Assistant, has just raised €500K in project financing.
The 10th edition of LeWeb Paris takes place December 10-12, in Les Docks de Paris, with a central theme, ‘The Next 10 Years.’
LeWeb Start-Up Competition provides an international platform for 16 finalists to pitch their projects during LeWeb’13 Paris on December 10 and 11. The three winning projects will be announced on stage on December 12.
Entries for the LeWeb’13 Paris Start-Up Competition can be made until October 31 via http://paris.leweb.co/2013/leweb/startup-competition-application. To be eligible for the Competition, startups must have less than €1.5 million of project financing in place, be in a position to make a major announcement during LeWeb’13 Paris and have a project destined for the general public or business use.
Commenting on the importance of winning the LeWeb Start-Up Competition, Martin de Charette, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Pricing Assistant – a winner at LeWeb’13 London – notes, “Winning the competition at LeWeb’13 London provided us with unprecedented visibility in the press, with clients and with investors. Winning this award accelerated our development and brought us many clients. It was a great experience to present Pricing Assistant to web enthusiasts.”
Following Pricing Assistant’s success in London, Martin de Charette has just raised €500K in financing. In the past 12 months, two winners of LeWeb’12 Paris’ Start-Up Competition, Qunb and Recommend, have raised €500K and €450K respectively.
