Hub One Chooses NetCracker to Streamline OSS for its Network Infrastructure and Accelerate New Service Introduction

Hub One, the trademark of Hub télécom and Nomadvance, companies of the Aéroports de Paris group, and NetCracker Technology announced today that Hub One has selected NetCracker’s OSS Solution to help the company to expand, tailor, and accelerate its service offerings; gain greater control over its network topology; and streamline its OSS infrastructure.

Hub One is the communications service provider for Paris’ three major airports – Paris-Charles de Gaulle, Paris-Orly, and Paris-Le Bourget, which served more than 88 million passengers in 2012. In this role, Hub One services nearly 4,300 companies ranging from restaurants and gift shops to freight operators and aviation maintenance providers, as well as WiFi hotspots that provide Internet connectivity to travelers and employees.

Hub One’s customers’ communications needs are changing and becoming increasingly integrated into their operations. Hub One specializes in not only meeting but also anticipating these growing needs.

Leveraging its proven OSS Solution, NetCracker will work with Hub One to streamline its end-to-end OSS capabilities and to enhance its ability to deploy, manage, and troubleshoot all of its networks and service platforms. Hub One will gain greater knowledge and control over its network topology, including DWDM, MPLS, SDH, Internet, and Voice technologies and services. This will in turn enable the company to facilitate network and services changes more rapidly.

Coupled with an expanded and more sophisticated service catalog, the NetCracker OSS Solution will enable Hub One to offer a broader range of services over its networks while bringing them to market more rapidly and tailoring them to customers’ unique business needs. Furthermore, with faster and more automated order completion, Hub One will be able to deliver, change, and enhance services more rapidly and responsively. Specific OSS components include resource inventory, service inventory, service information management, and service order management.

“Hub One is at the forefront of the airport’s telecommunications revolution. NetCracker was a clear and proven choice for rationalizing our OSS, improving our control over our networks, and delivering a greater variety of services to market more rapidly,” said Nicolas Lehovetzki, Telecom Division Director, Hub One.

“Working with Hub One is an exciting opportunity for NetCracker because it allows us not only to deliver our proven technology and expertise to enhance an advanced communications provider, but also to demonstrate our ability to enable other industries, such as airports and transportation, to utilize new communications technologies most effectively,” said Sylvain Seignour, Vice President Americas and Europe, NetCracker.
