TomTom today announces that Daimler is to extend the number of cars equipped with TomTom Traffic. TomTom’s real-time traffic information service will be added to more Mercedes-Benz lines following the success of the initial roll out.
TomTom Traffic is already available within the COMAND multimedia systems for Mercedes S-, C- and GLK-class cars. TomTom Traffic will be made available in CLS-class cars and E-class sedan and estate in September 2013. E-Class coupé and cabriolet will follow later this year.
TomTom Traffic is now available in a total of 15 European countries*. Other European countries will be added in 2014.
The COMAND system will be demonstrated at the Frankfurt IAA 2013 motor show today.
