Fluidigm Corp. is announcing the availability of its new BioMark(TM) IFC Controller MX, part of the company´s
complete system for high-throughput genetic analysis.
The BioMark IFC Controller MX is targeted for efficient set up of
high-throughput gene expression, genotyping, and digital PCR
experiments. The Controller MX features a sleek, compact
fully-integrated design that preserves precious lab space while offering
a vivid touch-screen interface that provides the user access to a
highly-intuitive menu for automatically loading BioMark 48.48 dynamic
arrays and 12.765 digital arrays.
"Fluidgm´s BioMark
IFC Controller MX automates the setup of dynamic arrays or digital
arrays. After samples and assays have been pipetted into the inlets of
the input frame, the chip is placed onto the controller and with a few
taps of the touch screen, samples and assays are loaded into the
integrated fluidic circuits (IFCs)," explained
Mike Lee, Fluidigm marketing director. "After
the setup is complete, the IFCs are placed on the BioMark Real-Time PCR
system for thermal cycling and data collection. It´s
fast and it´s easy."
The BioMark IFC Controller MX is a fully integrated system that includes
built-in software and a self-contained gas source for pressure-loading
samples and assays into the dynamic arrays and digital arrays.
The complete BioMark Molecular Biology System is a combination of
integrated fluidic circuit chips, instrumentation and applications
software that enable scientists to use tried-and-true techniques to
accelerate their progress toward answers, at significantly lower costs
and labor requirements than traditional methods. Fluidigm´s
BioMark Systems, using IFCs known as dynamic arrays and digital arrays
represent a fundamental advance in simplicity and throughput over micro
well-based systems.
About FluidigmFluidigm Corporation develops, manufactures and markets proprietary Integrated Fluidic Circuit (IFC) systems that significantly improve productivity in life science research. Fluidigm´s IFCs enable the simultaneous performance of thousands of sophisticated biochemical measurements in extremely minute volumes. These "integrated circuits for biology" are made possible by miniaturizing and integrating liquid handling components on a single microfabricated device. Fluidigm´s IFC systems, consisting of instrumentation, software and single-use IFCs, increase throughput, decrease costs and enhance sensitivity compared to conventional laboratory systems. For more information, please visit www.Fluidigm.com.Fluidigm, the Fluidigm logo, Topaz, BioMark, and NanoFlex are trademarks of Fluidigm Corporation.
