Fortium´s Image Composition Analysis Technology Powers New Version of
PineApp´s Mail-SeCureâ„¢ for
Inappropriate Content Control
Leading content control technology developer Fortium ICA Ltd (www.fortium-ica.com)
announced it has licensed and integrated its highly regarded Image
Composition Analysis (ICA) anti-pornography engine to PineAppâ„¢
Corporation (www.pineapp.com) a
global provider of appliance-based solutions for email and network
security.
ICA now powers Mail-SeCure(tm) v3.6 providing a potent new solution to
eliminate pornography from corporate email systems. Mail-SeCure v3.6 now
incorporates new-generation Inappropriate Content Control (ICC) package
including Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) database lookup which combines
with ICA to make it one of the most effective solutions on the market.
Businesses have a responsibility to protect themselves from liability
and investigate all available measures to comply with their human
resources policies as well as regulations to avoid employees´ legal
suits regarding hostile workplace environments. Pornography
remains one of industry´s major concerns as it
continues to give rise to exposure of improper content and associated
sexual harassment litigation
The inclusion of ICA has enhanced the ICC PineApp offering. "Our
Inappropriate Content Control now automatically detects and blocks
incoming and outgoing pornographic pictures as well as pictures embedded
in PowerPoint presentations, videos and other media. And by using
Fortium´s advanced image processing technology, we can help our
customers to comply with the required procedures and protect them from
legal action," commented Jacob Fox president and CEO of PineApp Corp.
"We selected ICA for its speed and accuracy levels and its cross
platform features and are pleased with the results."
ICA has been the industry´s first choice in image content filtering
technology since its launch in 2001 and provides content filtering
solutions for the largest information security vendors including
MessageLabs´ Image Control (IC), Websense´s Virtual Image Agent (VIA)
and Secure Computing´s Secure Mail (Ironmail) Image Analysis Module.
"We are delighted to have been selected by PineApp to power the newly
launched Mail-SeCure(tm) solution and it is encouraging to see PineApp´s
success in the market place with it," commented Andrew Brimfield
Business Development Manager, Fortium ICA Ltd.
