The organisers of the European Business Awards (www.businessawardseurope.com) have today announced the names of the 526 National Champions from 31 European countries that have made it through to the second round of the 2013/14 awards programme. Where possible the European Business Awards will host Country Events to celebrate the success of the National Champions. These events will run between September and November 2013.
All National Champions can be viewed at www.businessawardseurope.com/NC13.
To advance in the competition, the National Champions will now submit a video entry for viewing and assessment by a judging panel. All National Champions will be assessed by the judges who will decide on the top 100 businesses to be awarded Ruban d’Honneur status. In addition, the public will also be able to vote online for their favourite National Champion from each country. These ‘National Public Champions’ will then move forward to a second public vote to find the overall ´European Public Champion´.
Adrian Tripp, CEO of the European Business Awards says, “We are always looking for ways to keep the European Business Awards programme fresh and innovative and this year we are introducing two opportunities for the public to vote for their favourite companies. The first vote is to find our National Public Champions – the video with the highest number of votes per country – and the second is to find the overall European Public Champion who will go on to compete with the 100 Ruban d’Honneur recipients. Last year our six week public vote resulted in over 35,000 votes being cast, this year we are hoping for even more involvement from the public.”
Following the announcement of the Ruban d’Honneur recipients in January 2014, intensive rounds of face-to-face interviews will take place during February 2014 with the names of the overall winners being revealed at a Gala awards ceremony in April 2014.
