Nexthink®, the innovator of End-user IT Analytics for Global 5000 enterprises, and Unisys Corporation, the world class services and solutions provider, today announced Nexthink supports some of Unisys’ latest solutions for company employees that use PCs, smartphones or tablets for work (iWorkers). Unisys’ hybrid enterprise solutions, including the recently launched Workspace as a Service (VDI), virtualised applications suites and secure mobility solutions are all supported by Nexthink analytics to understand user behaviours, manage and monitor events across operations and deliver customised solutions for role based communities, or personas, within the enterprise.
Nexthink and Unisys have had a strategic partnership since 2008 to deliver Workstation Situational Awareness (WSA) implementations for corporations and financial institutions and the companies have since been awarded many strategic IT contracts from Fortune 1000 customers in Europe. Existing projects span: global infrastructure transformation; application deployments; VDI transformation; Workspace as a Service; cloud migration; Merger & Acquisition projects and end-to-end security or compliance management projects.
User-centric operations and iWorkers
Unisys’ objective is to deliver user-centric computing experiences that understand the users’ roles and responsibilities; enhance ways of working and optimise the environments, applications and tools that iWorkers use day-to-day. In addition, multiple devices need to be seamlessly supported to deliver the most productive environment and continuous access to corporate services.
Nathalie Piquet, Global Alliances Director EMEA, Unisys, said: “To develop solutions that support specific personas, or roles within an organisation, Unisys needed to have access to real-time analytics which provide a clear view of user behaviour, data flows, security, system performance and cost. We needed to find a way to understand the end-user perspective and to identify the foundations for different user groups within our customers’ businesses. With Nexthink, we can now deliver personalised systems and services to disparate user groups across any organisation and deliver the efficiencies and productivity that the modern iWorker needs.”
David Milot, VP EMEA Solutions, Unisys, said: “We have reached a turning point, where the generic end-user has become an ‘augmented user’ or iWorker. This means satisfying the iWorker requirements of access to corporate tools and resources from multiple devices, in multiple locations, 24/7. The IT system is no longer device-centric, but user-centric, and our solutions are designed and delivered with that as the critical factor. The tight integration of Nexthink into our assessment, design and transformation processes gives us a great understanding of the iWorker’s user experience, meaning we can securely provide a premium IT environment for any role within our customer organisations.”
“Our objective is to enable Unisys to develop a new breed of IT consulting services and give them the ability to deliver the most powerful customer service experience on a day-to-day basis. We want our technology to deliver productivity back into our partners’ clients and be a trusted success factor in Unisys’ iWorker solutions,” said François D’Haegeleer, VP Business Development and Strategic Alliances at Nexthink.
