Core Solutions, a leading provider of global sourcing and extended supply chain automation solutions for the retail industry, today announced that it has signed an agreement with Steinhoff International to implement CORE’s CBX software as the common platform to support the group’s global sourcing and direct import operations.
Steinhoff is the second largest European furniture and home goods retailer, sourcing from almost 2,000 suppliers in 12 countries. Retail brands include Conforama, Harveys, Reid, Bensons, Bed Shed, Cargo and Freedom. The group was looking for a tool that would leverage the combined buying power of their brands to create efficiency, build scale and increase their profit margins.

The CBX platform will support the Steinhoff International Sourcing and Logistics (SISL) business unit, which acts as the interface between individual Steinhoff brands, their suppliers and logistic providers. CORE will implement their latest cloud-enabled CBX5 software, which is a multi-tenant SaaS solution, offering similar benefits to an enterprise system without the need for heavy investment in hardware and headcount.
