7digital, the leading open digital music platform, today announced the integration of its popular music app for Android with Pioneer´s advanced AppRadio TM SPH-DA100 multimedia smartphone receiver.
The Pioneer AppRadio 2 enables users to fully access and control the app directly on its large 7-inch capacitive touchscreen. With the 7digital Android TM app installed on a compatible Android smartphone, and connected to the Pioneer AppRadio 2 via CD-AH200C Android kit, users can access 7digital´s music store and their cloud locker directly from the vehicle´s dashboard.
From the AppRadio 2 screen, users can browse, preview and purchase new music from 7digital´s 22 million track catalogue. Purchased music is automatically synced from the user´s cloud locker onto the smartphone device for instant playback in the car through the AppRadio receiver.
The 7digital Android app has been customised specifically for use on Pioneer´s AppRadio to take advantage of its large 7-inch capacitive touchscreen and multi-touch interface. The app was built using 7digital´s API (application programming interface) and expands on the company´s existing presence in the automotive and in-car entertainment sector.
