A host of industry leaders from around the globe have tonight been recognised among their peers as the best in their field at the Broadband InfoVision Awards ceremony. The InfoVision awards, which took place as part of the Broadband World Forum, are designed to acknowledge outstanding technologies and services and celebrate excellence across the entire broadband industry. This year Alcatel-Lucent, Huawei, Ericsson and the Broadband Forum have been counted amongst the winners at the prestigious gala dinner.

This year saw the launch of several new categories which attracted an unprecedented number of entries from key operators and vendors within today´s evolving market. Ericsson was awarded winner of the Best Broadband Cloud Award for its Mobile Cloud Accelerator, with the Broadband Forum winning the Outstanding Contribution to Broadband Success award, for its TR-069 CPE WAN Management Protocol. This new category recognises the contributions of a body to the development of broadband, and is significant as it marks the first time a forum has been acknowledged by the industry in this way.
Included in the winner line-up was ZTE and Wexnet, which won the Best Broadband Partnership Award, Bouygues Telecom which won the Best Broadband Experience Award, Qualcomm Atheros which won the Best Broadband Enabler Award, and Alcatel-Lucent, which won the Best Broadband Transport Award.
