VendorNet StoreNet® Live Helps IC Companys Become One of the FirstEuropean Fashion Retailers to Offer Consumer-Centric Cross-ChannelCapabilities

VendorNet® Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of GSI Commerce and provider of cross-channel fulfillment and supply chain technology, today announced IC Companys, a Danish listed group of 11 independent fashion brands, has launched StoreNet® Live to integrate its online and in-store channels to facilitate cross-border order fulfillment.

The implementation of VendorNet´s Ship-from Store technology at IC Companys expands VendorNet´s global penetration, and positions IC Companys as one of the first European fashion retailers to offer consumer-centric, cross-channel capabilities.

VendorNet was selected for its proven leadership in cross-channel fulfillment, its established integration with the GSI Commerce technology platform, and its highly configurable implementation options, including the support of multiple languages and currencies, and cross-border fulfillment capabilities.

IC Companys has launched StoreNet Ship-from Store with Tiger of Sweden. Tiger of Sweden will act as the blueprint for deployment across IC Companys´ other brands. In total, its brands are sold through nearly 500 retail and franchise stores, through ecommerce, and close to 10,000 distributors in more than 40 countries.

"VendorNet´s credentials and its plug-and-play integration with GSI made our technology decision fast and simple," stated Jesper Arvidsson, head of ecommerce business development at IC Companys. "It was obvious from VendorNet´s cross-channel expertise and strong relationships with its customers that StoreNet was a proven product. VendorNet is an established brand within the GSI family which gave us great confidence in our selection."

StoreNet interfaces with GSI´s commerce technology to deliver a fully integrated and powerful end-to-end cross-channel fulfillment solution. These technologies deliver a powerful competitive advantage to global retailers to meet the next generation of multichannel retailing and fulfillment.

The deployment of StoreNet at IC Companys completely internationalizes the StoreNet offering to accommodate the complexities of different legislation, tax implications, jurisdictions, and laws regarding moving products between countries.

StoreNet Ship-from Store is a key component of IC Companys´ strategic roadmap cited Arvidsson, adding the advantage of using a proven technology has helped them overcome the obstacles and challenges of transitioning from siloed sales and fulfillment channels to a cross channel business model.

"Implementing all available products for online sales and cross-channel/border fulfillment is critical to remaining relevant in today´s dynamic retail environment," said Arvidsson. "StoreNet will allow us to provide consumers with higher service levels through increased product availability, a wider product assortment, and faster shipping at a lower cost. This will translate into higher sales, improved margins, and faster stock turns by removing the obstacles and inefficiencies that segregated channels create."

"Capturing the sale at the point-of-demand regardless of where the inventory is physically located, offers a major strategic advantage for retaining customers, optimizing inventory, and saving the sale," commented Sharon Gardner, general manager and co-founder at VendorNet. "We are pleased to offer IC Companys a flexible solution that will be quickly deployed and configured to enable the cross-channel business model that serves all customers, using all inventory."
