(Reuters) - Best Buy Co Inc reported a decline in same-store sales on Tuesday - its eighth in the last nine quarters - highlighting the tough task ahead for new CEO Hubert Joly as he tries to engineer a turnaround at the world's largest consumer electronics chain.
Sales at stores open at least 14 months fell 3.2 percent in the second quarter that ended August 4, including a 1.6 percent decline at its U.S. unit and an 8.2 percent drop internationally.
Joly was named Best Buy's chief executive on Monday. The company is a bellwether for the consumer electronics industry.
