Germany´s leading direct sales enterprise for cosmetics, body care, dietary supplements and jewellery, LR Health & Beauty Systems GmbH, has recorded a significant growth of over 5 percent in the first half of the year, to which Dr. Jens M. Abend, CEO and Spokesperson for LR, commented: "So far, we have managed to consistently keep up the momentum from the end of last year, thus achieving further growth. The German-speaking countries are still our biggest and most important market. However, the focus is on global expansion and transborder investments. 52 percent of our turnover is currently generated outside of Germany. In the first six months, we were able to significantly increase turnover figures in France, Italy, Belgium, Portugal and Sweden. Turnover in Greece, a traditionally strong "LR Country", remained stable despite the economic crisis. Russia has turned out to be exceptional: launched just a year ago, we are continuously recording a 15 percent growth each month. Having established five subsidiaries in Russia, we are now launching our business in neighbouring Kazakhstan. Furthermore, Turkey is another market we have in sight, with its huge potential. All countries have at least this in common: the key to success in each of these markets is the professional commitment of our 300,000 or so sales partners."

Numerous sales promotions and a varied product portfolio with top celebrities
The emphasis this first half of the year has been on numerous sales promotions and seasonal highlights. These included the 10 year anniversary of LR´s Aloe Vera range. The enterprise has been putting its trust in the power of these "lilies of the desert" for a decade: for skin and hair care products, sun protection and drinking gels. In the fragrance segment again, in January 2012 LR launched together with Bruce Willis "Lovingly" - his very first fragrance for women. It has indeed proved a great success: The men´s fragrance as well as the alternative for women now account for over 10 percent of LR´s total fragrance turnover. Consequently, the contract with the Hollywood star has been extended to 2016.
