Patton (www.patton.com) announces the BODi rS TM family of load-balancing wireless Internet routers with bandwidth control for fixed and mobile enterprises of all sizes.
WAN Optimization Control (WOC) with automatic failover in the BD007 load-balancing router prevents wasted worker productivity due to slow response time stemming from congested, poorly-utilized network resources.
The BODi multi-WAN load-balancing algorithm with intelligent failover delivers peak-performance wireless Internet access by combining up to seven of the most cost-effective 3G/4G/LTE, VSAT and WiFi/WiMAX WAN services available into an integrated, highly-efficient fat-pipe service.
BODi link-prioritizing and bandwidth-control mechanisms ensure voice and video traffic cannot grind executive email to a halt"”or choke business-critical banking, accounting, or manufacturing applications"”by hogging network-access capacity.
By distributing traffic across network resources evenly, Patton´s network load-balancing algorithm optimizes WAN utilization so users never have to "wait forever" to load a web page.
Banks, brokerages, hotels, hospitals, ships, busses, power plants, and construction sites can use BODi routers to create a "virtual leased line," adding cost-effective wireless bandwidth-on-demand to existing T1/E1, DSL or cable connections. Load-sharing across two DSL lines delivers T1-equivalent speed at a fraction of the cost. By adding lower-speed, nominal-cost 3G/4G wireless or WIMAX services, for a load-balanced Internet connection, users can realize peak-performance networking.
If any link fails, BODi automatically re-routes traffic over the best-available alternate. Speedy response times create satisfied users, while redundant access lines with automatic failover offer peace-of-mind for network administrators.
"Efficient, reliable Internet service is crucial for forward thinking business people," said Brian Lawlor, BODi Product Manager. "They recognize the importance of optimized, multi-path internet access. By offering multi-WAN load-balancing for high-speed, low-cost, survivable Internet, BODi helps businesses."
BD007 routers provide four USB connections plus two Gig Ethernet ports for WAN access, plus a dual WiFi access point (WAP) and 4-port Ethernet switch. Employing 256-bit AES encryption, BODi multi-channel VPN routers ensure sensitive business information remains confidential and secure.
Patton will host a channel-partner webinar about the BODi launch, Wednesday 15 August. Sign up"¦
