Informa Telecoms & Media, organisers of the Digital Home World Summit 2012, the industry´s premier event focussing on the connected home and surrounding areas, today announced its best ever speaker line-up. The summit, which boasts over 50 world-class speakers from 21 countries, presents a truly global view of the digital home with more top-level speakers than any other event covering this topic.
Speakers confirmed so far include Telmo Perez, VP, Home Line of Business at France Telecom, Marco Romero Rodriguez, Head of Sustainability and Energy Efficiency at Telefonica, and Renaud Di Francesco, Divisional Director Europe Technology Standards Office at SONY, who will all be speaking on Day 1 of the event.
Day 2 will see the introduction of the brand new Breakfast Briefings to be led by Stuart Sykes, President at Parks Associates, which will cover IP services and the cloud and allow participants to ask probing questions in a relaxed and intimate setting. This will be followed by presentations from the likes of Alex Yesayan, General Manager at Ucom, and Holger Knoepke, Vice President Connected Home at Deutsche Telekom, who will focus on Utilising the IP Network in the House to offer 5th Play Services. Knoepke comments, "The excitement about home management solutions is rapidly growing among consumers. More and more consumers see the value of energy-efficiency solutions, they are attracted by the convenience of home automation solutions such as control of window shutters or lighting, security at home/home monitoring, and health products such as assisted living solutions for elderly people so they can stay in their homes longer and don´t have to move into nursery homes."
Also confirmed to speak on the second day of the conference is Nicholas Sim, Head of Connected Home Research of BT, with his presentation entitled The Impending Home Network Data Crunch. Other presentations will be delivered from Orange Healthcare, E.ON AG, Turkcell, Etisalat, Mediaset, Ucom, PT Telkom Indonesia plus many more.
The conference will take place from the 19 "´ 20 June at The Thistle Marble Arch Hotel, London, with a pre-conference focus day taking place on the 18 June hosted by Informa Telecoms & Media top analysts. The event is expected to attract hundreds of top level decision makers in the broadcast, internet, healthcare and energy sectors who will come together to learn, network and do business.
