Passlogix(R), Inc., announced today that license sales for its
market-leading v-GO(R) Sign-On Platform(TM) have now exceeded 10
million, up from 6 million one year ago and just 2 million at the end
of 2005. This surge in license volume reflects growing market demand
for solutions that simplify the process of providing secure user
access to enterprise applications as well as the advanced
capabilities, broad functionality and ongoing expansion of the v-GO
Sign-On Platform.
Major new v-GO adoptions in 2007 included customers in the
healthcare, retail banking, investment management, insurance, federal
government, state/local government, higher education,
food/entertainment, retail, energy, aerospace, telecommunications,
chemical and oil/gas industries around the world.
Business drivers behind these adoptions included the need to free
end users from the burden of managing multiple application passwords,
reduce password-related help desk costs, increase security, centralize
password storage for easier management and recovery, and comply with
regulatory mandates designed to protect the integrity of corporate and
personal data.
Other developments fueling Passlogix´s growth in 2007 included
continuing expansion of the company´s global network of channel
partners; Sun´s successful resale of v-GO technology; rising sales of
Oracle Enterprise Single Sign-On and Passlogix´s v-GO(R) Single
Sign-On (SSO) for BMC Software´s CONTROL-SA product, both of which are
powered by the Passlogix platform under an OEM arrangement; and
increasing market traction for v-GO Credential Manager, a 2006
addition to the v-GO suite that centralizes the management of
disparate strong authentication devices.
Also in 2007, Passlogix announced v-GO On Demand Edition, the
first ESSO client that requires no software installation on the user
machine; unveiled v-GO Shared Accounts Manager, the first ESSO-based
solution for controlling access to privileged accounts; and expanded a
long-time strategic partnership with RSA with an agreement that
includes transitioning RSA Sign-On Manager customers to the v-GO
platform.
"Our license base has quintupled in two years and jumped by more
than 4 million in 2007 alone. We expect that growth to continue as the
market recognizes the broad strategic value of our expanding product
line to address fundamental access and identity needs," said Marc
Boroditsky, CEO and president of Passlogix.
v-GO SSO (v-GO Single Sign-On(R)), the core application in the
v-GO platform, automatically and securely signs the user into
enterprise applications after a single network logon without requiring
additional identification and authentication processes. It has been
widely acclaimed in the industry for its rapid wizard-based
implementation capabilities, low total cost of ownership, scalability
that supports the largest ESSO implementations in the world, and
ability to interface with a wide range of backend directories and
complementary products.
Six add-on solutions extend v-GO´s single sign-on capabilities to
any form of strong authentication and to kiosk environments; provide
the industry-first ability to control shared password access to
privileged accounts through the ESSO infrastructure; enable user
credentials to be automatically added to v-GO SSO from the leading
identity management systems for zero-touch provisioning; permit
self-service reset of forgotten Windows passwords; and centralize
management of strong authentication devices in any format and from any
vendor.
In December, SC Magazine praised this strategic platform approach
and other v-GO capabilities in naming Passlogix to its list of
innovative information security vendors for 2007. It was the second
major recognition for Passlogix last year, following a ranking as a
leading ESSO vendor by several leading analyst firms in the industry
