WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Interior Department on Tuesday said it is moving ahead with its review of a Google-backed offshore transmission project that would transport electricity from wind farms off the Atlantic coast.
The department said it is seeking comments on the possible environmental effects of such a transmission line and trying to gauge whether any other developers are interested in building transmission lines in the area.
