Enfora announced today that it is expanding its collaboration with
Texas Instruments, Inc. (TI), and will develop intelligent wireless
solutions using TI´s NaviLink(TM) 5.0 single-chip GPS receiver. These
solutions will be targeted at organizations that need to track, manage
and control a wide variety of assets. Deployment of these solutions
can provide these organizations with cost reductions and improved
utilization of their assets, eliminating redundancies and enhancing
asset lifecycle management.
Further to this collaboration, Enfora will incorporate a
combination of TI´s NaviLink 5.0 GPS solution, LoCosto single-chip
cellular platform, and "ultra-low-power" microcontroller into Enfora´s
intelligent devices, including wireless modules and integrated
products. These intelligent devices can be used, for example, to track
shipping containers, delivery trucks and other vehicles or assets.
Enfora´s integration of TI´s leading-edge silicon into flexible,
low-power intelligent devices will also allow application solution
providers to adapt their applications to the remote asset monitoring,
sensor management, data collection and location-based environments.
Furthermore, these devices, particularly when coupled with Enfora´s
intelligent gateway, are designed to facilitate rapid solution
deployment across a variety of applications.
